Boeing wins orders for 30 jets

Boeing won orders for a total of 30 jest from 3 customers. Westjet, based in Calgary,Alberta has ordered for 20 737 jets, Ukraine’s Aersvit has ordered for 7 737-800 and Jet Airways of India has ordered for 3 777-300 jets.

You can clearly see strategies of airlines going forward. While Westjet and Aerosvit are looking to expand short haul routes, Jet is expanding its International ops.

WASHINGTON (AP) - US Airways Group Inc. spent $540,000 in the first half of 2007 to lobby the federal government, according to a disclosure form. The company lobbied on legislation regarding aviation security and spending, reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration and other bills, according to the form posted online Aug. 27 by the Senate's public records office.
